Tommy Shots Claims Wild Bill Was Behind Hit on NYPD Officer

William "Wild Bill" Cutolo, Colombo under-
boss, slain by the family's administration for
being too powerful.
And our next writer on Cosa Nostra News is none other than Tommy "Shots" Gioeli!

No, not really -- we are linking to a story he recently wrote on his blog, which his daughter controls for him, in which Gioeli claims William "Wild Bill" Cutolo was behind the slaying of NYPD officer Ralph Dols, not Joe Waverly Cacace as charged. He further says Dino Calabro and Joe Competillo were the ones who really whacked Wild Bill, not the poor innocents sitting in prison for life. (We don't believe any of Gioeli's fanciful-sounding theories, by the way.)

"[Gioeli] is accusing a guy [Cutolo] who Gioeli himself killed, of killing a cop," one former NYPD detective who worked OC and is familiar with all the players told Cosa Nostra News in an exclusive interview. "Gioeli should be an attorney."

[We heard a Colombo war story involving Gioeli: Apparently in a gunfight, or some incident involving gunplay during the war years, Gioeli's finger was somehow wounded. He reportedly went around for years afterward showing off his "war wound." With a straight face, too.]

"All the guys ratting are Gioeli's own guys. He's trying to do anything to get out from under... Cacace was pissed that Dols married his ex; then they had a kid, and Cacace really didn't like that," the source. "So he told Tommy to set it up; it was an off-the-record hit."

Joe Waverly's new nickname is "She," because of
his long colorless tresses....
Cacace, on a side note, is a fascinating Gangland figure -- a legitimate tough guy with the bullet holes to prove it. [This despite the fact he apparently has acqhuired the less-than-flattering new nickname of "She," owing to his long hair.]

Despite his current problems, Joe Waverly -- nicknamed for the street on which he grew up -- is one of the few players who participated in the Colombo war who wasn't killed or sent to prison for life. But he was badly wounded, and not for the first time.

In February 1992, while gang war was raging on the streets of New York, Cacace was ambushed and shot outside a social club in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. Cacace was a supporter of Vic Orena, who was challenging Carmine Persico for control of the family. During the attack, two gunmen fired 14 shots at Cacace. Although wounded, Cacace drew a handgun and fired back. As the Colombo war progressed, Cacace switched back to the Persico faction, which ultimately won.

Cacace had received a gunshot wound prior to the Colombo war, back in 1976, when he was ambushed by three robbers near his florist shop in Brooklyn. After being shot in the chest, Cacace wrestled a handgun from one of the robbers, shooting one of them dead in the process. The remaining robbers fled the scene and the critically wounded Cacace drove to a local police station with the robber's bloodied corpse in the backseat.

Overall, he is believed to have been shot in the chest several times in his life of crime thanks to those two incidents.

On to Tommy "Shots" Gioeli [with thanks to Oobatz, of the Black Hand bulletin board]:

Alleged Mob Boss Tommy Gioeli's Voice:

When our justice system deprives targeted citizens of their constitutional rights because the prosecutors feel that they are (or want such persons to be guilty) it is illegal and morally wrong. It is inevitable that innocent men will be targeted and fall victim to this corrupt practice. It has happened before and it is happening now. Let me explain...

Dino (Hemorrhoids) Calabro and Joe (Caves) Competiello murdered NYPD officer Ralph Dols as a contract murder for Bill (Wild Bill) Cutolo.

Following Officer Dols' murder there were rumors of steroids, drugs, gambling, Russians and bad cops. Much later, after I heard a few more rumors, I surmised this murder contract had something to do with Wild Bill's multi-million dollar steroid, drug, and other illegal businesses that he had with some bad cops. I also heard that Calabro may have been involved in the killing.

After my arrest I came into a lot of evidence to support this scenario. Some NYPD officers even came forward with credible evidence that Wild Bill Cutolo had officer Dols killed. By then I already knew that this was a fact. Dino Calabro and Joe Competillo killed Bill Cutolo.

They did it to protect themselves from Bill Cutolo. They feared that he would become a government informant and turn them in for the Dols homicide. Cutolo was the target of a major FBI investigation and Calabro thought that Cutulo was too soft, too weak, and too rich to do serious prison time. Calabro was sure that Cutolo would crack and look to save his own ass by handing over some cop killers (Calabro and Competillo) to the FBI. So, they killed him on the sneak. Just another one of Calabro's loose ends.

There are two innocent men serving life sentences for the slaying of Wild Bill Cutolo. There are another two innocent men serving life sentences for the murder of another of Calabro's victims. And today, they are trying to frame Joel Cacace for the homicide of Ralph Dols as they tried and failed with me.

There are many more innocent men paying with their lives for the crimes of government informants. We must end the tyrannical persecutions based on facts harvested from the movies and the government's prejudice.

  1. You definitely were weak, you cooperated with the feds . Your father knew what happened was LCN. How many men did your father kill yet you say you did it for vengeance. Seems like to me that with your father gone all those people you cheated were going to come calling.
